Description
BLUE AND IVORY CUSHION KIT
This is a kit and pattern to make a part foundation paper pieced and patchwork cushion cover. The fabrics are all from the same Japanese themed range and coordinate beautifully together. Teamed with the 4 patterned cotton fabrics are 2 plains to help hi-light certain areas of the cushion. In the kit you have all the fabrics you need and the wadding to give your cushion depth and warmth with a calico to back the front whilst quilting. The actual back of the cushion cover is made from different fabrics and you have plenty to do the cushion with some left over. For extra texture and colour there is also a square of a different Japanese fabric for you to hi-light the collar of the kimono with.
The cushion is approximately 16″ square and is a great kit to do if you are new to foundation paper piecing is it is only the arms of the kimono that are done this way.
Included in the kits — 4 different Japanese cotton fabrics, 2 plains, calcio for back of the front, wadding for the front only, 1 square coordinating Japanese cotton, the pattern with all the templates you need and lastly to finish off your cushion there is a small metal charm.
I also do a wall hanging in this range using the same fabrics and that pattern has instructions so that you can extend it to a quilt in 3 different sizes.
Happy Stitching
