Sashiko sewing kit to make 4 floral Sashiko coasters. The front cotton is white with the design drawn on to this with heat erasable pen. So once completed you can iron and the design will vanish. There is a coordinating embroidery floss in blue to match the damask blue backing fabric. Thermalam wadding inside the coasters helps to protect surfaces.
Sashiko is a Japanese style of sewing used in past times as a way of mending, now though used more decoratively with many many different traditional designs as well as more modern ones becoming more popular every day. A simple running stitch makes this an easy kit for the less confident sewer or for a gift where you are not quite sure about the receivers ability.
