Description
Quilt AS You Go is a great way to put together your patchwork and literally have it completed as soon as you have added the last patch. No need to layer your top to your wadding and sew on you backing as it is all done at the same time.
This is a kit to show you how and get you started making either a tablemat and 6 coasters or you could use the hexagons and fabric to make something completely different. Each hexagon is layered up and edged before sewing it to the next hexagon making all edges finished as you go and so you only need to stop adding and finish your quilt once you decide.
In the kit you will receive instructions on how to quilt as you go and 4 card hexagon templates in the varying sizes needed. You will also receive enough fabric plus a bit to complete the tablemat and coasters. All you need to add is some scraps of wadding to sandwich between the layers. For the wadding you can use any of your offcuts or if you are wanting to use it to help protect your table you may wish to use a heat insulting wadding, i.e. thermalam.
This is a fun quilting process that can be done either by hand or machine and suitable for beginners and young people who are wanting to learn a new hobby or just want to make a gift for someone.
