Description
This is a kit to make 2 Sashiko Placemats and 2 Coasters in Red mottled design with Gold snowflakes backing and Cream front. The stitching is done in a Red cotton embroidery thread and all fabrics are 100% cotton. The wadding in the middle of the sandwich is a thermalam wadding designed to help stop marking your table tops. This is not 100% and care should still be taken if you have a top that marks easily.
Included in the kit is all the fabrics you need for the fronts, the backings and thermalam wadding, the embroidery threads for the stitching of the design, a Sashiko needle, template and instructions.
Dark fabrics can sometimes leak colour in the first wash. Gently rinse the red by hand in warm water to test first.
This is a great beginner kit if you are new to Sashiko and one that you can do with the children if you so wish.
