Description
This is a kit that includes everything you need to make this beautiful circle Sashiko cushion in mainly Green and Grey. The fabrics are all 100% cotton and the thread used is a varigated green cotton perle. Included in the kit is the printed panel that has been digitally printed in a pale grey so that it is easily visible whilst stitching yet will not be seen when finished if any of your stitches are not quite true.
Sashiko is made up of a simple running stitch that can build up to some really great designs. Originally a form of mending dating back in time from Japan used to mend farmers and fishermen’s clothing. Now it has become a fashionable way to embellish any needlework you do and can still be used to mend articles of clothing. Denim jeans and jackets are great for this.
The kit includes – printed panel, grey cotton, green cotton, Sashiko needle, cotton perle thread, calico, instructions.
Suitable for a beginner this cushion cover is a great introduction to Sashiko if you have ever tried it before, especially as it has the panel printed for you already.
